Because the marching band participates in several marching events throughout the year including a band review, the band utilizes physical conditioning and marching drills as a means to promote group unity, focus and good performance skills. This conditioning may include stretching routines, jumping jacks, jogging, and other types of physical activity.
If for any reason a student needs to be excluded from this type of activity, they should let the directors know, in writing, before band camp begins. There will be a number of Early Morning Rehearsals (7:35-8:30 am) which are required as it combines the different sections of the group. Daily practice is essential.
